BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

Bookings can be made online (reservas@chic-rentals.com) or by phone (+34 91 011 72 40).Through our website you can choose the apartment you wish and book it by filling in the form with your personal data. At that moment, a percentage of the total cost of the apartment (should be paid via credit card or Paypal). Immediately and automatically, the computer system will send you an e-mail confirmation of the booking. 48H later you will receive a second e-mail from our offices with the full details of the apartment and check in procedure.

The rest of the payment will be made upon arrival at the apartment with cash or credit card. Card payments will not have any additional cost, We remind you that Chic Rentals does not accept american express credit cards.

In exceptional cases, payments can be made via bank transfer provided the net amount is paid (the bank transfer cost is paid by the client). Once the transfer is done, you must send proof of the same via email.

We inform you that on arrival at the apartment you must show the check-in person all the documentation with which the reservation was made. Without such documentation, access to the apartment won’t be allowed.

If the person who booked the apartment is not the same person receiving the apartment keys, we should be informed in advance and be provided with photocopies of the documentation of the person who made the booking.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

As a means of security for bookings of less than 30 nights, we are forced to make a €200 pre-authorization as damage deposit on arrival. This amount must be paid by credit card and will not be deducted from your balance. It will be retained and only discounted in case any damage has occurred. This deposit will be charged upon arrival.

For bookings longer than 30 nights, the deposit will be specified at the moment of booking the apartment and will depend on the characteristics of each apartment. Deposits may amount to 500 euros, 1,000 euros and 1,500 euros.

CANCELATIONS

The percentage pre-payment at the time of booking will be refunded as long as you notify us of your cancellation in writing 30 days in advance.

If the client changes the booking dates, this will be treated as a new booking and cancellation conditions will apply.

If, due to force majeure, we fail to offer the booked apartment, we reserve the right to accommodate you in another apartment with similar or superior characteristics, never inferior.

If once in the apartment the client wishes to cancel the stay for reasons other than problems caused by malfunctioning equipment in the apartment, the booking fee will not be returned.

CHECK-IN

Check-in is set at 3pm. If it takes place after 8pm, an extra 20€ will be charged on arrival; if after midnight, the extra charge will be of 40€. If you want to enter the apartment before 3 pm, please contact us and, if we can, we will do the check-in with no extra cost whatsoever.

Our staff will welcome you in our central offices as to proceed to check in and give you the keys. You will be explained in detail how to reach your apartment, its general functioning and solve any questions you may have. You will be given one or two sets of keys

CHECK-OUT

Stipulated departure time is at 11 pm. If you want to leave earlier or stay longer, please let us know as early as possible to meet your demand provided it is possible.

It is very important that on leaving you leave the apartment keys on the table and close the door.

If you have any suggestion or complaint, please let us know before leaving in order to improve our services.

CLEANING

You will find the apartment in perfect cleaning conditions and we hope you leave it reasonably clean. Mandatory cleaning fee varies according to the characteristics of each apartment and is automatically added at time of making the reservation. If you stay for a long time and want to hire extra or periodic cleaning, just let us know and we will send you someone from our staff. Please contact us for rates.

RULES OF CONDUCT

Tenants signing the contract are responsible for the proper behavior of all the persons accompanying them. If singing tenants or any of their companions do not behave properly and responsibly, Chic Rentals is authorized to invite all of them to leave the apartment immediately without them being entitled to any compensation.

Please note that any type of party is strictly prohibited. Those guests staying in a Chic Rentals apartment should know that in case of complaints by neighbors regarding loud music or parties in the property, or in case it is necessary to call the police, Chic Rentals will evict the apartment at any time of day or night. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund of damage deposit or rent payment.

It is strictly forbidden for the tenant who made the booking to lodge a greater number of people than the booking was initially made for without prior consent from Chic Rentals. If this happens, guests will immediately be evicted from the apartment. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund of damage deposit or rent payment.

It is strictly prohibited to sublet the apartment by tenants. If this situation occurs, Chic Rentals will immediately evict the apartment and won’t refund the rent payment or the damage deposit. Moreover, relevant legal action will be taken.

Tenants agree to keep the furniture as well as the rest of the contents of the apartment in the same condition they were found upon arrival. If tenants want to change the apartment’s arrangement, Chic Rentals should be contacted first for approval. Otherwise, Chic Rentals has the right to evict tenants immediately without the right to a refund of damage deposit or rent payment.

Chic Rentals is not responsible for the tenants’ belongings left in the apartment once the contract has been signed and the keys to the property handed. Meanwhile, Chic Rentals agrees not to access the property except in case of emergency or at the express wish of the tenant to solve any domestic problem that might happen.

How do I know if there is availability for my dates?

Enter your destination, travel dates and the number of people in the search box at the top of our website. Click on "Search" and within seconds the system will display a list of all apartments available.

If you want to see the info about a specific apartment, click on "View apartment" and check out the calendar in the box to the right of the screen. The system will automatically calculate the total price of your stay.

How do I book an apartment?

Booking with Chic Rentals is easy and fast. Just follow these simple steps:

  • Enter your destination, travel dates and number of people in the search box at the top of our website.
  • See description, photos, location and price of the apartments you are interested in by clicking on "View Apartment"
  • If you have found your perfect apartment, click on "Book Now".
  • Enter your personal details in "Reservation Details". Make sure you have read and accepted our terms of use / privacy and click on "Book Now".
  • Enter safely the details of your credit card/Paypal/debit card in "Payment Details" to pay your booking’s deposit.
  • In a few seconds, you will receive an automatic confirmation of your booking in the email address provided provided the payment has been done successfully. Otherwise, please contact us.
  • In a maximum period of 24 hours (48 hours on weekends), you will receive an email with information on the booked apartment as well as instructions to follow on the day of your arrival.

How do I pay for my booking?

To guarantee your booking, pay the deposit by credit card/Paypal/debit card by using our online payment gateway, an efficient and reliable method that meets all the requirements of confidentiality and ensures maximum safety.

I can’t manage to pay online with my card, what should I do?

Contact our Customer Service team to help you through the payment process by phone. If you still have any problems, it may be because your bank has blocked the payment (lack of authorization for online payments in a different currency from the country of origin, limit on the bank account, etc...). Contact your bank and check the terms and conditions of your account.

Can I book online with a debit car or do I have to use a credit card only?

Using a debit card for booking online depends on the country of issue. If your payment is not accepted, try to pay by credit card or contact our Customer Service team to help you through the complete transaction by phone.

I just booked an apartment online, what do I have to do now?

Provided the payment of the deposit is successfully completed, within seconds you will receive an automatic confirmation of your booking to your email address. Otherwise, please contact us.

In a maximum period of 24 hours (48 hours on weekends), you will receive an e-mail with information on the booked apartment as well as detailed instructions to follow on the day of your arrival.

What will the confirmation e-mail contain?

The first confirmation e-mail contains all the information regarding your stay and confirms that the booking process has been successfully completed. In the second confirmation e-mail, you will find the address of your apartment, the name and phone number of your contact person and all the information on how to pay for the remainder of your booking and how to proceed with the check-in.

When will I receive the e-mail confirmation of my booking?

Within 24 hours (48 hours on weekends) after paying your deposit.

I haven’t received the confirmation email, what should I do?

Make sure it isn’t in your SPAM folder. If it’s not there, please contact us.

Where do I find the exact address of my apartment?

The full address of your apartment will be provided to you on the second confirmation e-mail, which you will receive within 24 hours (48 hours on weekends) following the payment of the deposit. Alternately, you can see the location of the apartment on the map available on the "Location" tab in the apartment’s description page.

How do I pay for the rest of my booking?

Payment must be made in cash or by credit/debit card on arrival to the apartment.

When will I receive the keys to the apartment?

The keys are always handed on arrival to the booked apartment by a member of our team in our central offices. We will provide you with the contact details before arriving to Madrid. The e-mail confirmation you will receive once the booking process is successfully completed will also include the detailed instructions to follow on the day of your arrival.
